Fidenza
A city of art and culture on the Via Francigena, Fidenza is the largest centre in the province, after Parma. The city was built on the ruins of the Roman Julia Fidentia. In the seventh century, when the relics of San Donino were found, it took the name of Borgo San Donino, which remained until 1927. It is the seat of the diocese, and the Cathedral is one of the masterpieces of Po Valley Romanesque architecture with an important array of sculptures.
